There's a huge difference in rigidity and quality. I have an otter sled and have even tried a shappel sled it's not even close.
This trick works great dude we made 2 of them to spread out the load a little bit. They don’t hold as much weight as a regular jet sled but they are definitely worth it for how cheap it is

I got a jet sled I needed the extra length for the v boards I made. I did see this and thought about gettin it but just needed the extra space. Cool hack though! 🤙🏼
