Black tye wraps instead of white, nice design otherwise
Nice video on grassing a beavertail stealth boat! I just acquired one from and individual and I'm now looking seriously at rigging it the way that you did your boat. I'm thinking on using raffia grass on the whole rig but also adding natural grass at certain points to give it a little more realistic look. Kudos to you on a job well done man!
If you zip tie it down tightly it will remain on the boat without any problems during transport. It's best to tie it down in at least 2 or 3 places depending on how large each bundle of grass is. In my most recent video, I discuss the benefits of using bungee cord on the outside of the boat to hold your natural cut vegetation during each hunt. Of course this vegetation doesn't hold on as well in transport, but it's meant to hold new brush every hunt. Having a good base layer of vegetation zip tied keeps you from having to cover the entire boat in natural vegetation every hunt
Let me know if you have any other questions!
How do you transport it? I.e. how do you keep the grass from blowing away while driving?
I used 1 inch square garden fencing from Home Depot. I would recommend using the square fencing rather than diamond shaped fencing since it's easier to cut in a straight line. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I plan on adding a video soon where I made doors for the stealth out of 1/2 inch conduit.
Thanks for watching!
what did you use for the netting?
Great job man!
It looks great!
