Brexit blind dates: Love Island's Zara and Magid Magid – BBC News

What happens when two strong-minded individuals from opposite sides of the Brexit debate sit down for dinner?

To find out, we’ve organised a series of blind dates.

Love Island’s Zara McDermott, who has quit her role as a policy advisor in the civil service to take part, is pro-Brexit.

Magid Magid, Lord Mayor of Sheffield, supports the Green Party and wants another referendum.

They went into the meal without knowing whom they would be meeting.

But did they get on?

  1. She literally thinks that under 18's can't make an informed decision just because she was an unintelligent waster as a teen. She can't understand any other worldview and, for someone involved in government, that's a problem.

  2. Zara actually hugely winds me up in this like seriously what she is saying. There is no unity among immigrants BECAUSE THE UK DOES NOT TRY AND INTEGRATE YOU WHITE PRIVILEDGED FEMALE! (coming from a white privileged female).

  3. After watching a few minutes of this I can see the next generation of the UK voting in Majid as Prime Minister and his cabinet consisting of previous Love Island contestants…..all comments more than welcome….innit.

  4. Magid Is most definitely one of the foulest males (unfortunately) in Britain, he’s a loud mega-racist – like a brown Tommy Robinson, except Tommy tells the truth – big difference – and he’s a total hypocrite, can’t see the wood for the trees, and imbecile and definitely a traitor to everywhere on Earth.
This attempt of a male is thoroughly disgusting.

  5. More British white on benefits then anyone else… as midwife there more minority people working in NHS. So maybe this lady need to open her eyes and look around herself and stop get your facts from the media.
