  1. That’s not really hunting. Put up a portable bow stand, and stand up in it. No sitting in an recliner chair, with a T.V on and heat. Might as well stay home with a tree fort . Thanks from.St. Paul Minnesota.

  2. Nathan – I like a little more of a lip at the windows so a sand bag can be placed on the window self/edge. Really makes settling in for a rifle or muzzleloader shot a lot easier. Looks like a job well done! $250 is cheap for an elevated blind!

  3. Insulation? Sheetrock? Heater? I don't have any of these in the blinds I grew up with, but I'm loving that blind! I might have to build this myself! 😁 Looks great 👍

  4. Stand turned out great! Those power poles brought back memories. We used the same idea thirty plus years ago when the County came through and replaced the power lines and poles. They were more than happy to let us have all the poles we wanted. They even hauled them to our place free of charge. I think we built six deer huts that summer. The only thing different with ours, we made them mobile. We used our tractor’s front end loader with hay forks to move them with relative ease.

  5. Love the stand. You will love using it. I have an 8×8 I built on cedar trunks with 4’ side sliding windows and it’s hard to convince yourself not to over hunt it.

  6. I made 20 deer blinds for a group of hunters in southern Texas. Made out of pressured treated wood last year before the big price increases. Cost $400 each to bldg. Should last for 20 plus years.
