This is part two in a four-part series called “Faith Is Not Blind.” The first two are by the same title. Three and four are “See and Conceive” and “The Seen and the Unseen.” I wish everyone could hear it, and then hear it again! Faith doesn’t know the entire plan of God, but faith does know enough to follow. Jesus said that if the blind lead the blind, they’ll both fall into the ditch. I may not see the entire way, but I see well enough to follow the Guide. Also, I don’t close my eyes when I drive my car. I may not know what’s coming around the bend, but I can see enough to keep in the lane and go the right direction. The Bible speaks of the “eyes of our understanding” or our spiritual eyes. Faith must SEE the will of God! Faith is not blind!
A well-known minister said one time that faith is like walking into a pitch-black room and then taking one more step. I wanted to shout, “NO!” Please don’t act on that kind of presumption! Some things work out anyway, but the certainty of faith in God must be based on the specific Word of God that covers your case. Some people are just “trusting in God that it will all work out.” That’s too general. Have specific Scripture and SEE it in your spirit. Faith is not blind! Let this message by Tony McCanless feed your spirit and encourage you in your faith in God.
