how to use garageband as a blind user with voiceover

Hey, guys. Back again with another macintosh tutorial video on how to use Garageband version 6.0.5 with voiceover.
I’ll take you step by step on how to multitrack, how to do simple recordings, change your voice, and go through some of it’s cool features.
Anymore questions regarding voiceover or how to use a computer with such screen recorder, contact me.
I am open to more suggestions for videos. I enjoy helping out and making a difference for both the blind and sighted communities.

What do you think?

  1. So I'm new to garage band. It's my 1st DAW. I play guitar and bass as Well as a middy keyboard and some other oddball instruments. I'm using an ipad so the descriptions here are a little confusing cause they don't appear the same. Anybody know of good sources on YouTube that could help me out? Either way I appreciate the work done on this channel. Have a good one.

  2. Tony, thank you so much. I do need your harmony effect. By the way I am mostly an iOS GarageBand user wonder if you know how to chop the front end or the back end off of a track

  3. Thanks so much. I'm finding this in 2021, but I have hope to record my songs now with Garageband as a blind user. I stopped recording years ago when my sight deteriorated too much to see the screen of my PC. Now I'm a Mac user. My name is Jim Meck and you can also find me on FB. I'll look for you as well. Thanks again. Cheers!

  4. I’m a blind GB user, I use it for podcasts. I can’t seem to find anything on how to delete what I don’t want after splitting a clip. It deletes the entire track. Also can’t find anything on, after I figure that out, how to move a region to the beginning of the track. (Like if you want to keep 3:004:00 and delete everything else). If you, or anyone can help me with this, that would be awesome!

  5. thanks i almost brought lojic pro XX cuz i thought this wouldn't work for blind people i'm totally blind and i'd like to make music and i'm on mac with garage band, u got any tipes for my first song pls

  6. Hey! Someone just posted this video on facebook. This is great! I don't use mac, but I can recommend this to others who want to make tracks on my website. 🙂 Great job with your video, and maybe you should do a follow up with the latest versions to see if it is accessible, too! I was listening to some of your tracks and think you're a great musician! Just subscribed and look forward to watching more videos from you! We blind youtubers need to represent and show that nothing liits us. 😀

  7. I wish it were as accessible as that one was back then but now I can’t seem to access some things without a problem. For example, effects like autotune I can’t seem to get to

  8. Yuck.
I don't like it when there is background music playing on almost every single YouTube video.
Please redo your video tutorial with no background music at all.
    It's very loud to me.

  9. Great video! This helped me acclimate my vision impaired friend to garageband. Could you explain how to multi-track with "audio" tracks, as in 2 simultaneous tracks with "audio" inputs (for vision impaired)?

  10. Great video, sir.. I'm a brand new Mac user, about 2 weeks now, but I'm totally blind, an ex full-time session and road musician who might still, once in a great while, want to record stuff at home… It's good to know I can actually use something other than my old Taskam 4-track cassette recorder… 🙂 😀
Anyway, forgive my ignorance here, as I said I'm a brand new user of the Mac, but someone told me the other day that I needed to download sound libraries to Garageband… If so, how would I go about doing this, or downloading any libraries for that matter?? Thanks for this video! Great job!!

  11. I do not have a video for GB 10/11 right now. Currently in the process of getting a new computer for production and audio related work, but I can most definitely work on a newer tutorial for more updated users. Thank you for the feedback.
