PERFORMING THE RITUAL!! – Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure (BLIND) #6
Welcome back to part 6 of my blind let’s play playthrough of Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure! This one was very kindly bought and gifted to me by Siperos as my first adventure into the world of Lovecraftian style games! Detective Don R. Ketype is hired to find and bring back the Necronomicon that is supposed to be located in the Miskatonic Library in Darkham. However, things don’t go according to plan.
In this episode, we continue looking for a way to get to Fishmouth and speak to the Taxi Driver to ask if he can take us! He says he doesn’t want to, but will take us if we help out his friend Ed who is being possessed by his girlfriend Asenath! We go back to the Voodoo Gentleman who tells us we can put together a ritual to free him! We need a picture of an attractive male, a doll, and something that can cut things! We already have the Photo of the Male Model and the Scissors, so we go back to the Fish Shop and send Kitteh up to get the Fish Doll! We give the Fish Doll to Piscilla, and then head off to the Library to get a book to show us the order we need to put the items in! It’s time for the ritual so we can go to Fishmouth!

I’ve been wondering about the name Gibbous. Did they just choose it because it sounds good? Gibbous means bulging or convex. It’s usually used when referring to the moon when it’s more than half full, as in the opposite of a crescent. Ironically, when we see the moon here, it’s a crescent, not gibbous. Odd. Maybe it’ll make more sense later on.
