As a former hairdresser, all I'm seeing is a lot of hair being removed very quickly. Hair-drying with a roller brush can hide a multitude of sins. If someone has a lot of hair, cutting it down to almost nothing makes it easier to style. From experience, you have to know when you're done with the hair cutting and styling or it just keeps getting shorter.
Imagine the barber having a bad day or feeling off. Barber having a serious itch while using the claws.AAAYYYOOO!

Barbers in early America were often serving as doctors and did many skills in a town. Some times they even branched out to scientific endeavors.
It's all a gimmick. If you want to make money you have to be different. Anybody can learn to cut hair with scissors,but to do it with a sword or fire or both in the same session.
