This is good that these events are exposed and proper people are confronted, and hopefully, solutions will resolve future problems.
But, I can't believe the flight attendant didn't know about the dog, that died. wasn't the dog moving and barking. Don't be intimidated, be firm but polite.

I used to fly to Copenhagen for business often and United was the worst. I would get a beautiful A340 on SAS on the way to Denmark and get stuck on United back to the US and the experiences were nothing short of a nightmare. If SAS can do it why cantUnited?
