Rain used to sound like that on my window unit. I put a grass mat on it and no more sound

Seriously? It's raining and everything is wet. You aren't going to hear deer even if there is zero noise in that blind. What deer activity are you expecting to hear in the rain?

Shouldn't be an issue. Deer are used to all sorts of noises. If they hear that every time it rains they'll get used to it.
Good grief, just lash a bunch of pine or cedar bows to the roof – problem solved.
I'd love that!! At my age the sound would put me right to sleep. Can't hear anymore anyway so, what the hell? Gotta take that nap while you are hunting. At least now, with ground blinds, I don't fall out if the tree like I used to when I took my naps.
