Does Home Depot Haul Away Old Appliances?
Can I Book Home Depot'S Haul Away Service When Shopping Online?
Homedepot.com allows you to add haul-away services to your shopping cart.
After adding the appliance to your cart, you can choose delivery or haulaway.
Prices are also more uniform online, with a standard charge of $25.
When you view an item online, you can also check if it is eligible for the delivery and haul away services by choosing the home delivery option.
The text under the choice will let you know if the appliance doesn't qualify.
Retail Stores
After doing some initial searches online for where I could get rid of my microwave, I found a couple of places that welcomed old appliances. One, in particular, was a place I had bought many of our other appliances. Many of their stores offered free drop-off of old appliances.
Some other retailers who are known to recycle appliances are ApplianceSmart, Best Buy, Sears, and Home Depot. I'd recommend starting with your local appliance store first to see what they recommend for proper disposal without incurring fees.
Is Installation Included With Delivery?
Certain installations are free when you buy from Tieso. Electric ranges will be leveled, a cord attached, the appliance plugged in, and a new one plugged in. Washers get the hoses hooked up, dryers get the cord attached, and all machines are leveled and tested.
If you're getting a refrigerator delivered, "We unhook and reconnect normal fridge water lines for a fee. The drivers do not change the copper tubing," Tieso said. "A dishwasher or gas range needs to be installed by a licensed plumber whom we can suggest."
Costello didn't specify details, but Sears' delivery teams have unpacked and leveled appliances for us. The same goes for other "big box" stores--although some online-only retailers have dropped off a box and driven away.
You may also choose to pay an additional fee, usually between $10 and 20 dollars. Make sure the appliance is empty and unplugged.

Does Home Depot Call Before Appliance Delivery?
Home Depot will call you before delivering your appliance. Once you have purchased an appliance from Home Depot, their delivery team will contact you to schedule a delivery time that is convenient for you. The Home Depot delivery team usually calls you 24 hours in advance to confirm your delivery time and date.
During the phone call, you may inform the team of the specific instructions or requirements you need. For example, if you live in an apartment complex, you can provide instructions for parking and accessing your unit.
Home Depot provides flexible delivery options. These include same-day and next-day deliveries, based on the location of your home and availability of professionals.
Does Delivery Include Free Shipping?
According to Tieso, there is no such thing as free delivery. "It's worked in someplace or you are not in business very long," he said. In fact, the term "free" is usually tied to minimum purchases or a "delivery service" that is nothing more than a simple drop-off.
Costello said that Sears provides free delivery "to encourage [our] customers to purchase appliances from Sears." Indeed, we've often had appliances delivered to our labs from major retailers like Sears, Home Depot, and Lowe's, and we've never paid for it.
As additional services require the hands and strength of a second person, you'll have to pay for a higher tier to get your new fridge brought into your kitchen and leveled, and sometimes even for the packaging to be hauled away. The extra work of unpacking an item and the space taken up by the packaging materials in the truck's back will increase the price.
Washing Machine & Dryer
Washers and dryers can be disposed of in much the same way as dishwashers, ovens and stoves mentioned above. You can also check with 1-800-Got Junk about hauling away old appliances. This company specializes (for a fee) in removing appliances, along with other junk, from your home. The company knows how to properly remove and recycle or dispose of different appliances.

How Much Is Home Depot Appliance Installation?
Home Depot appliance installation can range from $19.99 to $150, and delivery can cost $59. All appliance installation kits can range from $15 up to $100. Appliances delivery and installation are free if the appliance is over $396.
Basic hookup is done by the delivery team and doesn't include built-in or commercial grade appliances that require special skills and equipment to remove and install the appliance. You can use Home Depot's Appliance Installer Pro referral program if you require built-in appliance installation.
The Home Depot installation team cannot install appliances on old pipes or cords. The delivery team will not install your new appliance if you haven't disconnected the old appliance.
Home Depot Fridge & Freezer Installation Costs
Home Depot will install your refrigerator for free. However, you must purchase the installation kit which costs around $17.28. Independent freezers will be delivered but are not part of the installation service, hauling away your fridge or freezer will cost $30 per item.
The installation kit includes a power cord, and in some cases piping, to connect the fridge to a valve. You can't reuse existing piping or power cords, and without the installation kit, the installation delivery team will not install your refrigerator.
Installing your refrigerator will not be possible if there are no 110V outlets within four feet. The installers can not use extension cords or install a new power outlet as part of the installation.
When will your appliance arrive? Why Do They Offer A Delivery Window Instead Of A Delivery Time?
Tieso replied, "Poirier provides a [delivery] time window of two hours the day before. We can also call the client one hour before on delivery day so they are not trapped in the house all day. We try our best to accommodate, but we do not guarantee times, as we need to route the deliveries in the best way possible for the drivers to make them all in a reasonable amount of time."
Customers can choose to pay a fee for a more personalized delivery window. They may select from early morning, midday, afternoon, evening, or weekends. Other major retailers are also affected.
